Enable developer mode your Quest via the Oculus app on your smartphone. Connect your Mac with the headset using the USB cable included in the package. Power on the headset. Select “Allow” from the Allow Access to Data popup in your headset. The Quest should now be connected to your Mac and you can access the internal storage of the Quest.

- It’s not supported on Mac OS. Only on Windows 10. And, don’t bother. There are ways to install a Windows 10 onto Macs, BUT your basically having to add another OS into your Mac, installing drivers, and then install Oculus app (which is 23GB ), suggests to give 80GB for all of this and for updates later on.
I'm having a really hard time figuring out if it's possible for my setup to work or not.

With runtime 0.4.4 I am able to access the Oculus Configuration Utility app, and can run the demo scene just fine, so I know the headset works with the operating system (I tried runtime 0.5.0.1, and I was not able to run the config utility).
- With that in mind, we recently revisited our Mac support. We were able to implement support for Oculus Rift on Mac OS X. If you have an Oculus Rift DK2, and a Mac with an advanced GPU (like an AMD Radeon R9), check out our latest beta, grab the Oculus Runtime for OSX, and enjoy!
- So where do we Mac users go from here? Here are your options: 1) Buy a PC and be prepared to shell out at least $1k for the computer. 2) Wait until Oculus decides to build a runtime for Mac (could take longer than a year). 3) Find a friend willing to share a PC/Rift (try a Meetup!). In summary, if you’d like to use the Oculus Rift on your Mac, you can’t.

Getting Started (Mac) 5.1.0p1 onward works with Oculus Runtime 0.5.0.1-beta on Mac (10.9+). We plan to still support mac via 0.5.x runtime, but as Oculus announced, Windows + Gear VR is where Oculus’ primary focus will be for the near future.
But when I try and run the demo scenes in the Unity package, I get these errors:
